A home safety assessment is a personalized evaluation of the home environment to identify:

Recommendations may include equipment suggestions, home modifications, lighting improvements, and mobility support strategies.
Coastal Home Mobility Solutions provides home mobility, safety, education, and aging-in-place consultation services.
More extensive rehabilitation and therapy-based services may also be available through collaboration with a licensed Physical Therapist when appropriate.
At this time, services are primarily private pay. This allows us to provide flexible, personalized support tailored to each client’s individual needs without many of the limitations associated with insurance-based care.
In most cases, no physician referral is required for home safety consultations and aging-in-place services.
If additional therapy-related services are recommended through a Physical Therapist, referral requirements may vary.

Absolutely. Supporting caregivers and families is an important part of our mission. We provide education, practical guidance, and personalized recommendations to help families feel more confident and supported.
Most home safety and aging-in-place assessments take approximately 60-90 minutes depending on the size of the home and individual needs.
During the visit, we will:

review mobility and safety needs
assess key areas of the home
identify fall risks or barriers
provide personalized recommendations and education
